Kindness Research

The Science Supporting Kind Schools

At Kind Schools, our research aim is to make a significant contribution to growing the evidence on the benefits of kindness.

We view kindness as an important educational focal point. Its effects on young people's mental health can be especially beneficial, leading to greater engagement and enjoyment in learning and better connection within all school communities.

A key driver of our research endeavours will be the data collected by our Kindness Survey and the ongoing evaluation of our kindness resources in the school practice setting.

We hope that our ongoing commitment to quality research, in collaboration with university researchers, will lead to a deeper understanding of evidence-based kindness education - we call this the ‘science of kindness’.

If you have further interest or wish to explore how your school can be included in our research, please contact: Dr Sophie Lea at sophie.lea@monash.edu
